Week of October 16, 2017
We had an awesome week learning all about Fire Safety! The students did a great job during the fire drill. We practiced "crawling under the smoke" and read some great books about Fire Fighters and Fire Safety. We are excited for the Fire Department to come and visit us on Tuesday!
This week we will learn about the Rosary. We will learn that we have been given a special gift in the Rosary and that every time we pray the Rosary we can think of Jesus and a special intention we want to pray for. Together we will pray a simple version of the Rosary. We will also learn that we are members of a Church and we will learn what different members of a Church do.
We will continue with our Literacy Theme, Living Together. We will read more books by Mo Willems and Kevin Henkes. Our word wall words for this week are to and is.
Our theme this week in Pre K 4 is "Pumpkins on the Vine." We will learn about pumpkins and do lots of fun activities related to pumpkins this week. We are looking forward to our pumpkin investigation and carving day on Thursday!
** Thank you to Mrs Barrett, Mrs McLemore, Mrs Apa, and Mrs Kelly for volunteering to help us with our pumpkin carving day!**
